Resort Manager

We are seeking an experienced and natural team leader to become Jelly & Ice Cream’s Resort Manager, looking after our teams of nannies and housekeepers for the upcoming winter ski season. The position is based in the French Alps, in the resort of Val d’isere, from early December 2018 until early May 2019.

The role entails the smooth running of Jelly & Ice Cream during the ski season, maintaining the team schedule and supporting the nannies and housekeepers in providing an exceptional service and positive contribution to our families’ holidays.

Training and set up for the season
– Organise and run the training sessions.
– Outsource sessions where applicable and schedule into any timetable – ie Dr Al, Avalanche Training, etc.
– Ensure we have all contracts returned and signed, P45s or P46s where relevant.
– Organise any A1s that haven’t been applied for
– Declare on the French employees website.
– Co-ordinate and finalise the planning weekly
– Ensure every nanny has a confirmation sheet by Friday of the week before the clients arrive
in resort.
– Create timesheets for every employee and place into staff dropbox’s (cleaners and Nannies
– Responsible for all equipment, toys and cleaning products in resort
– Manage and order new purchases which are required.
– Discuss any feedback from Tina/accounts manager for employees.
– Handle any cash that comes in and input to relevant spreadsheet.
– Regular random staff checks as per the company policies of 'toxic substances' in
accordance with the company handbook and the law. Supported with the Head
nannies.
– Conduct mid-season appraisals and provide Tina with full notes on every employee.
– Organise mid-season and end of season staff drinks/party.
– End of season reviews
– Organise employees’ departure from resort
– Organise weekly meeting with all staff
– Keep in contact with management on a weekly basis.
